How many people are looking forward to getting their TV back from all the political commercials? TV stations love this every four years, as much money as they make from running the ads, and money candidates raise we could balance the budget. “almost” I met someone this week who turned 18 and she was so excited because she could finally vote. I have not seen that much excitement about voting for many years, brings me to another point. I have met many who say that my vote wont count anyway, so why bother…
Because many fought and many have died for that right for us to do so in this great country.
Many in this country seem to think they should get a hand out or if they do not work that the government owes them something. Whoever you vote for, the President can only do so much. We the people need to stand for our rights, not wait for the government to do things for us. If you cant find work, go somewhere you can, if you think of a good idea, start a business. Do something that betters you and people around you. Help your neighbor like we used too, dont wait for Uncle Sam.
The Right to Vote means so much more than going to the ballot box and filling in circles on a peace of paper.
